The Hydronix 20" Big Blue Sediment Filter is an economical equivalent to the Liquatec SDF-45-2001. This 100% polypropylene filter contains graded density that provides higher dirt holding capacity than standard spun polypropylene and string wound cartridges. The Hydronix water filter reduces waterborne contaminants like sand, silt, sediment and rust. The 20" Big Blue Hydronix Filter is resistant to chemicals and is ideal for residential, commercial, food service and industrial applications. In addition to replacing the Liquatec SDF-45-2001, this Hydronix filter also replaces the Pentek DGD-2501-20, as well as the Watts FPMB-BB1-20.
Constructed with a coreless design, this Hydronix Big Blue Water Filter is surfactant free, adhesive free and binder free. The true multi-stage depth filtration of this cartridge is ideal for residential, industrial, commercial and food service applications. The Hydronix Big Blue Sediment Filter uses 4 separate layers of micron filtration, as the outside-in flow allows the outer layer to trap larger sized particles. Also known as part number SDC-45-2001, this 1 micron filter is an inexpensive solution to pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems and post-filtration for granular activated carbon filters (also known as GAC filters).

The Hydronix 20" Water Filter fits many housing systems requiring 20" Big Blue media. For optimum performance, change your filter every 6 months, based on water quality and usage. Be sure to check the size of your filter prior to purchasing. This sediment filter is tested and certified by NSF International under ANSI/NSF Standard 42 for material requirements only. Do not use this filter with water that is of unknown quality or microbiologically unsafe without adequate disinfection before or after the system. The operating temperature capacity ranges from 40 degrees to 145 degrees Fahrenheit (4.4 to 62.8 degrees Celsius).
